LONDON and NEW YORK, May 11, 2016 - Badoo, the world’s largest dating network, today announced the addition of video to its online dating profiles.
The new video-in-profile feature allows users to determine the unique personality traits, interests and skills of potential matches by watching short video clips.
‘People have to imagine how they’ll fit into your life, so describing yourself as a “bookworm and internet addict” makes them feel they’d never see you,’ explains match.com’s relationship expert Kate Taylor.
So it only seems logical you would use the good old Internet for finding that special someone, too. Sometimes they know you better than you know yourself.
The feature, available through Badoo's i OS and Android apps, allows users to upload 15-second video clips.
Before going live, the videos will be assessed by one of Badoo's 5,000 moderators.
Video gives you a much better feel for who people are before you agree to meet them.”With 300 million users in over 190 countries, and 400,000 new people signing up for a Badoo experience each day, the company is the fastest growing dating platform in the world.
Badoo recently hit 100 million downloads on Android, and launched Photo Verification to help eliminate catfishing and make dating safer and more efficient for users.
